Utility Warehouse’s parent company wins big at PLC Awards ceremony
< Back to Newsroom20 March 2023 - Telecom Plus, the parent company of the UK’s leading multiservice supplier Utility Warehouse (UW), has triumphed at this year’s PLC Awards.
In a highly competitive field, Telecom Plus, a FTSE 250 PLC, won the coveted Company of the Year Award. Telecom Plus was also shortlisted for the Growth Business of the Year and Breakthrough of the Year awards.
The awards polish off a hugely successful 2022 for the company, with the business seeing substantial customer and Partner growth. UW provides energy, telecoms, insurance, and financial products to more than 800,000 customers in the UK, as well as the ability to earn an extra income through its word-of-mouth Partner opportunity.
It comes as UW is on track to help 1 million additional households save time and money over the next four to five years - reflecting the business’s long-term strong competitive position.
Taking place once a year, the PLC Awards recognise those businesses on the London Stock Exchanges that have shown real strength over the last 12 months.
Andrew Lindsay, Co-CEO of Telecom Plus, said: “We’re delighted to have won Company of the Year at the 2022 PLC Awards against a tough field of competitors."
“Over the last 12 months, we’ve enjoyed record growth because we’re giving households what they’re looking for - savings on their bills and an opportunity to earn an extra income. Our success is down to the hard work, drive and commitment of our employees who underpin everything we do.
“We’ve some ambitious targets to hit as we enter the new financial year and we’ll continue to invest in our employees, customers and Partners to maximise our potential as the business goes from strength to strength.
The awards took place on Thursday 16th March at the Intercontinental Hotel in London.
