The UW Foundation

We're working with Charities Trust* to focus on the three things our customers, Partners and employees feel most passionately about.

UW is opening thousands of branches

Since March 2020 we've planted over 130,000 new trees on Bryn Arw in the Brecon Beacons. That’s an area bigger than 73 Wembley pitches absorbing carbon and increasing biodiversity.**

Helping provide shelter, food and water when it’s needed most

Leaving everything behind, people fleeing conflict in Ukraine need the things we take for granted. That’s why we’re supporting the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. The DEC brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds to have an immediate impact in times of crisis overseas.

Standing up for the natural world

The UW Woodland isn’t just about carbon capture - it’s a community based project focussed on enhancing biodiversity. And through our partnership with The Wildlife Trusts we can extend that positive impact to nature much more widely - making local areas wilder.

Fighting hunger, tackling food waste with FareShare

Our partnership with FareShare takes surplus food from across the UK’s food industry and gets it to frontline charity and community groups, helping to tackle hunger and food waste across the UK.

Supporting local communities

Finally, we're supporting disadvantaged communities close to our offices in London, Bolton and Bournemouth. And, our new charitable foundation will match every £1 raised by Partners and colleagues, doubling the overall contribution. For more information please contact [email protected].
